I Am Back

Thanks to my brother, I am back blogging. I am at a crossroads with my blog. I am taking a new chemo drug with side effects that tear my body up. What chemo doesn't do that? But this one, is for me by far the worst set of side of effects I have encountered.

But who wants to do another cancer blog since I am sure there are plenty already out there in blogland. I still hold interior design close to my heart and that was what caused me to start blogging in the first place. I still have so many interior design magazines to go through with beautiful pics to post and talk about with folks with the hope it will jump start them and give them the ideas they are looking for in decorating.

I do not pretend to be a crafter but every once in awhile I like to dabble in a craft project. I purchased some greenish blue paint and got my best friend to give me some shutters that have paint peeling off of them. I left them outside in the elements to increase weathering them. I want to slap some of my water based paint on the shutters and prop them up on both sides of my fireplace to serve as backdrops with black urns sitting in front of them.

This post reminds me for some reason of the movie Julie and Julia. I think it is partly because this post is so random and for the first time I really feel like there are people out there reading and listening to what I have to say. One thing is for sure, wherever this post ends up, it will not be to cook an entire recipe book full of great recipes. But that is not to say, I will never try to sneak in a recipe or two.

I am going to sign off for now. I will put in a picture of my " before" shutters in this blog.

More to come.

  2. I am so glad to hear from you, I've been wondering how you were doing and today when I clicked to visit I was praying you'd be there! I am so sorry you are having such bad side effects. I am happy to read whatever you wish to blog about! Good luck with your shutters project, that have a nice height to them so I can imagine them working really well as you envision.
